In fact, I was very surprised that my old turtles (about 15 years old) turned their backs on this collecting nose. All three usually eat fresh fruit (grapes, cherries, mangoes) with appetite. I waited until they were ready to feed at their usual morning time before putting this in their tank. As is their usual morning behavior when they saw me approach their aquarium, they happily floated to the surface and clapped their hands in anticipation of "breakfast". However, when I dropped the chunks of fruit mix into the water, they swallowed the chunks first and then spat them out just as quickly. They did this several times which indicated to me that they were really hungry but they didn't like what they were putting in their mouths at all. After searching for the mixture in the water for several minutes, they lost interest and sailed away, leaving the remains of their uneaten breakfast afloat. Then I grabbed their regular turtle food pellets and dropped some in the water. They immediately smelled the odor and returned, selectively reaching for the pellets and eating them with their usual breakfast delight. So I don't know who else but my turtles? These dried fruits did not help. I've even tried rehydrating them first (leaving them in a bowl of water for a few hours) before injecting them. Still does not work. IMHO waste of money.
