You can still have a guarantee IF you still have a receipt for your bike. I bought my bike many years ago. I don't have the receipt so I can't get a guarantee which is one of the reasons I bought this lock. I also got one for my son's bike. I was going to buy a third lock for my wife but now I know I need to look at other options. Here is what you need for the warranty: Contact information Lock information, including a copy of the itemized sales receipt Your lock key number Vehicle information, including vehicle type (bike/powersport), base price, serial number. Detailed copy of the check. A picture of your bike or sports car. If you cannot make ALL of these items, there is no guarantee.
