I suggest not using a tumble dryer but hanging to dry.
Good absorbency for small animals, I use this for my 16 year old 3lb cat who doesn't want to use the litter box. She literally pees where she sleeps so for now it protects my chair, I tossed them in the washing machine and let them dry. I've ruined many reusable pads by putting them in the dryer, drying out the plastic/rubber sheeting, cracking them and making them useless against liquids. She doesn't mind lying on it.
