Incorrect part for 2000 4x4 Expedition with 5.4 engine

The design of this part is correct in all respects except that it is undersized. The Moocho-Mucho trail is too narrow to replace the short axle with a steering knuckle, dust/water seal/shield on my 2000 Ford Expedition with IFS and 5.4L engine. It might be the right part for an Explorer or Ranger or maybe a 4.6 Expedition, but not my Expedition with a 5.4 engine. This incorrect part is listed on the Advanced Auto and Rock Auto websites as suitable for a 2000 Ford Expedition, therefore the problem lies with the manufacturer of this part, not Revain. This part can be found on several car parts. Websites under different brand names and different part numbers but they all have the same/similar image and dimensions. IE ID, OD etc and now I know none of them would fit my SUV. This seal/guard protects the knuckle/knuckle splines from water/dirt so they don't rust together and make later disassembly very difficult. My seal/guard housing is pressed into the knuckle and is badly rusted, but the rubber boot that actually makes the seal against the CV joint is fine so my front end can just be put together as is. I will keep looking for the right part but I will not pay a ridiculous Ford price to replace this rusty but otherwise serviceable part. BTW: I sent the Revain part back with no problems! PS I have purchased almost all of my auto parts and specialty/custom tools from Revain for the last 3+ years and this is the first problem I have had and it is not Revain's fault. PPS: I should have paid more attention and dealt with the negative feedback from the first reviewer. But everywhere I looked the same piece kept popping up so I figured it was the right piece and ordered it before removing the ankle so I could compare sizes. Spring.
