Review on 🔥 Enhance Engine Performance with Standard Motor Products LX340T Ignition Module Control Unit by Jay Arnold

I installed this ignition control module on my truck and it took a day. Serious. A day. The second day I was stuck in traffic after driving away from home and the engine started again and ran on about 4 out of 8. I managed to get home before I had to be towed. Here's how I know it's a problem: With a known good 15 year old or older module, the truck runs fine. I just don't know how long I can trust the old module. I think it's really difficult to find quality replacement parts to keep a '95 on the road. I also had bad luck with the professional ACDelco series. I can try Jeg's version. I'm not ready to give up my old Silverado yet. UPDATE: I would like to update this and say that I am now unsure if this product is not completely correct. After further research, I discovered that the aftermarket manifold I installed 2 years ago actually cracked internally due to poor workmanship. This distributor is not an SMP product. At best, the distributor magnet and switch gave intermittent pulse signals to the ignition controller. The distributor got so sloppy on the inside that the rotor crashed into the distributor cap in the carbon brush tip area. I rebuilt the factory distributor with a spare pickup coil and ACDelco ICM and the truck runs fine. I think you want to pay for a $90 aftermarket dealer. Addendum to the update: I believe the problem was a faulty pickup coil. Next time I will change the ICM and receiver coil in the kit.
