My 14 year old son who is a level 5 male gymnast loves them. He's about 6 feet 190 pounds tall and might be the tallest kid at his gym. His height and height has been a mechanical handicap for him that he finds difficult to overcome. He always had excessive flexion of his wrists at the grip, which caused pain in his wrists and shortened his training time in this competition. We got him these wrist rests about a month ago and he's been enjoying using them since his very first workout. Unlike holds, they don't actually require a break. His wrists no longer hurt when he pommels, which helps with endurance, but he also says they naturally help his hand placement. Because he can't comfortably bend his wrist too far when carrying it, he doesn't tend to place his palms too close to the center of the mushroom like he usually does. We will order a second pair so he always has a spare.
