Despite the statement they are NOT waterproof. I live in Florida and we have flooded streets quite often. I drive a Jeep and recently drove through regular water only to find that a couple of light cubes had shorted out and turned on by themselves. They went out after I turned the ignition off and on again, but that shouldn't have happened and has never happened. It's very easy to install and hook up, but if you plan on driving off-road or living in an area with frequent flooding, you should probably spend a little more and get a sealed one. Now I have to figure out how to put the jury seal on.
