Review on REBUILD KIT SUPER E G by Brockington Zuniga

We just bought my wife a used Fat Boy that has been sitting around for a few years with old gas in the Super E carb, new spark plugs, new gas and some sea scum in the fuel system and I fired it up, mostly fine but I just couldn't get it to idle and adjust the accelerator pump. I decided to disassemble the bottom of the fuel system. carb and give it a good cleaning. The seafoam mostly did its job on the bowl and injectors, but the entire accelerator pump was still sealed, the push rod was stuck and the diaphragm was shot through. I just removed the bowl and left the top carburetor assembly on the manifold so I didn't use a backplate gasket or manifold o-ring but everything else was made for quick and easy reassembly with all wearing parts replaced. The accelerator pump diaphragm was slightly different than the one he replaced, but it fit very well. This kit does not include a push rod for the accelerator pump, but I was able to clean the old one enough that it wouldn't get stuck again. The bike runs like new and the gas vibrations are gone. This kit doesn't have everything you need for a full overhaul, but if you just need a simple clean and update this should be all you need. The whole job took less than an hour including time to clean everything well.
