Arrives very red, later turns maroon

The picture shows the chestnut version in different shades of brown, but the shoe looks very burgundy. After a while (a month or two?) they faded to the maroon shown in the photo. These are good looking shoes and well constructed and that side zip is just brilliant for these high top sneakers.
