Very durable but Uniden could make charging more flexible
Does not use USB port for charging. It uses a 12V outlet (cigarette lighter). Older boats like mine have it on the panel, newer boats I don't know. It also doesn't show up when it's fully charged. You just need to let it charge for "13 hours". (What happens if you leave it charging for 24 hours?) It seems pretty quirky and dated in that regard.
