Review on Extech 39240 Water-Resistant Stem Thermometer by Larry Boyd

This is a good budget thermometer. The answer is fairly quick and appears to be relatively accurate. However, it is not "waterproof". He is practically not afraid of water. That's no big surprise - most inexpensive "waterproof" digital thermometers aren't truly waterproof, and this one is no exception. On the downside, it seems to handle electronics soaking pretty well. It stops working, water gets on the display and it looks dead. But left to dry for a few days, mine has, so far at least, always come to life. (Yes, I've been more careful with it since I found out it's not actually waterproof, but still.)
