Review on Continental ContiVikingContact 7 205/55 R16 94T winter by Jnis Banders ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A good product, more pros than cons.

Tuareg car, wheel size 255/55/18. The Conti were bought to replace the Hakkapeliitta R2 SUV, which, after 5 years of operation, retained the tread, but became so hard that they became dangerous. I compare Conti with this Nokian. In principle, all indicators are equal, except that the Tour at high speed and the winter road is very unstable on the Conti, you constantly feel that it is slippery, you have to taxi. Very annoying compared to Hakka. That is why in this size my choice is Hakka, and not Conti. PS On another four-wheel drive, but short-wheelbase car (Yeti), there is the previous Conti contact 6 (dimension 215/65/16). Works great at speed. Maybe due to the fact that the rubber is Narrower, maybe due to the fact that their tread is fundamentally different.

Pros
  • Quiet, soft, passable
Cons
  • At highway speeds on a winter road (without reagents), the car has poor directional stability. You constantly feel that the road is slippery, you will not relax.
