Anotek Lot is not revolutionary. It's 60/40 lead solder. I recently messed up a connection on a radio and my 1.2mm solder was too thick to manipulate as needed. I chose this material in 0.8mm and it worked great to reattach the surface mount resistor I messed up. I rarely do this type of work so I practiced a bit first to see how this solder would perform. It was high in rosin, melted on contact, rolled well on the pads, and had good stickiness to stick where it needed to be, not on my iron tip. There was no sign of pastiness seen with low quality solder with a lot of impurities. It quickly solidified when heat was removed and did not resist liquefaction when reheated. I've added a photo of some brush strokes I made. only for comparison. I hope this is helpful if you want to check for contamination or other behavior. The Bernz probe is a standard 60/40 tin/lead solder that comes with the gas torch. As far as I could tell, he had no flaws. I used it, it worked. The board is fine. Good buy.
