Well packaged. The inside smells a little weird / similar to Chinese made chemical bags lol. But once you close it, you certainly won't smell it! I wouldn't dare use the cheap chain that came with the kit, totally steals the class. Anyway if it breaks like some other reviews said. I don't care because it's very cute as a decor. Especially if you love an eclectic interior style. I don't think paying $25 is worth it considering the cheap lineup. But I don't regret my purchase either.
