I bought this because I'm traveling for work and working with multiple windows on a laptop sometimes sucks. It has made my life away from work so much better and overall I am very happy with the monitor. There are a few things that make me wonder if I should have bought Asus, but if this thing doesn't fail I'll keep it to myself. very restrictive. You need a device with a USB-C connector AND it must support "alternate mode" for video transmission. You CANNOT use this with a USB power adapter or cable. Also, the monitor comes with a 3-foot cable, but if you need to replace it, you'll need a compatible USB-C cable as not all support Alt mode. Ease of Use: The monitor comes with a magnetic screen cover/stand. . As a screen cover - excellent. As a stand it's fine. When used as a stand, not many adjustments are possible. It sits at a relatively vertical angle and slides fairly easily. It definitely works in a pinch, but I'd recommend a different stand. I bought a Moko wire frame tablet stand which I recommend, it's very light and strong. https://www.amazon.com/MoKo-Foldable-Universal-Adjustable-Portable/dp/B017TU2WGSA Apart from the USB-C issues mentioned above, the port is on the left here and the port is on my laptop. With the included software you can rotate the image and use the flipped screen to face them up. Otherwise, the three-foot cable will be a bit short as it needs to be wrapped behind the screen. I didn't need to install any drivers on my Windows 10 Dell for this to work. Various are available on the manufacturer's website or on the supplied CD. Additional software is provided to change settings such as brightness, contrast, and orientation, but requires a CD-ROM drive and the software is not hosted online. You can (slowly) do some of the same things without software, using a single button on the side. The biggest annoyance I've had with this may not be the manufacturer's fault. When I connect it to my laptop, Windows recognizes it as a monitor with sound and tries to send sound through. Even after I decided to use my laptop's internals in the sound menu, Skype still wanted to use the monitor for the speakers and microphone (the monitor doesn't, to my knowledge). Disabling the monitor as an audio device seems to have fixed this issue, but troubleshooting Skype wasn't easy. Size and Weight: I really like the portability of this monitor. It has an aluminum body, making it durable and lightweight. The 15.6-inch is exactly the same size as my laptop, so both fit easily in my bag. It only weighs a few pounds, so I hardly notice it in my bag. Screen quality: I haven't watched much video content or played games on this screen. There is a noticeable lag when mirroring the screen, so I think it's bad for gaming. The color and image aren't great for things like photo editing, but this monitor usually isn't up to it. It works fine for normal office tasks and the resolution is good enough. My general opinion is that the monitor works well for my purposes, but I would like it to be more versatile. I have a laptop that doesn't have USB-C ports, so it's not compatible, and even my phone with USB-C doesn't work with it. I can deal with the quirks, but I think a USB-A or Micro-B port would solve a lot of those issues and make this a much better device. I think this is geared more towards MacBook Pro users, so maybe that was my fault. Regardless, more and more compatible devices are coming out as USB-C is the new gold standard.
