The 16 inch 1366 x 768 USB monitor (AOC e1659Fwu) has been working great for years. It's slim, with a neoprene sheath and kickstand. For work I have a second screen to allow active work on one screen, procedure, email or remote screen on another. anything. This monitor has a lower resolution, so I have to scale down some elements to fit or move them around. In Windows, you can also shrink this extended screen. The AOC monitor displays images, text and films perfectly. So I bought an AOC I1659FWUX 15.6" 1920 x 1080 HD USB Monitor to replace (I'm currently using the original on my personal laptop) and it fits the screen better even though it's a bit smaller physically. My Laptop is 15.6" and both fit side by side in a laptop bag. I never drive to work without a monitor. This model has a USB-A to USB-A 3.0 cable and it's not as thin as the one above. Although I still add my own hooks to protect it. It works fine with a USB-A to USB-C adapter. Great HD resolution image.. Lots of complaints about it Original packaging over the screen in my case.I create something better without abrasion. I use it in hotels and computer rooms, so it's often moved, pulled out and put away. * USB cable. You can use USB C or USB A (USB 3.0) for a laptop/PC. The included cable is stiff, and I replaced it with a more flexible and shorter (2ft ) cloth-covered cable for portability (USB A and USB C for laptop). ions here. I posted a picture of the micro USB charging cable used for the monitor interface on the 16 inch model. The 15.6" model uses a standard USB-A male connector on the rear panel.* Monitor port. Everyone's biggest complaint is that there's no protection to pull the cable to one side and damage the interface connector. I've posted photos of a simple solution I made using small 3M Command stickers. I can wrap the cord around the three hooks and then plug it into the connector. Removes ALL the strain of lateral movement and protects the monitor from disposal or waste. Easy to remove. Allows you to move without fear. Something like Velcro or a clip attached to the back to prevent pulling will do. Negatives are easy and inexpensive to repair to avoid damage. DO NOT let these issues stop you from buying these monitors. Cardboard comes boxed, cheap 3M hooks and a flexible shorter cord for less than $8 from Revain and years of trouble free use. Great option with AOC reliability. I ONLY gave 4 stars instead of 5 because I needed to take precautions to avoid damage which had to be taken into account when designing and testing these really great monitors. 07/11/22. Had to upgrade to 5 stars as I can't use either monitor and despite the flaws they were undeniably reliable. Take the precautions I have outlined and a long service life is expected. I have one for every personal and professional use and I never go anywhere without it. Recommend friends who also bought. The latest in HD was OUTSTANDING.
