Nice try but it has some quirks to note

First of all be careful when ordering this. The list is quite rubbish because it's not clear and makes it seem like you need to buy both the top and bottom. Below is an update for those who already have an Argon hull. I wasn't happy about it but I had two Pis so I ordered another top. This is one of the few decent aftermarket cases for the Pi. The top is aluminum and the bottom is plastic. Also pretty cheap plastic. Nice to have access to M2 data update. Keep in mind that M2 data is still not that cheap and speed is really limited by USB3. The screw holding the M2's memory is also a bit loose in my opinion, and that's the case with two of their units. You need to download the software after the fan is running. There is virtually no information about the IR receiver they have on the case, which isn't great either. The fan is tiny and my Pi got very hot. Also, the connector that connects the M2 drive to the USB3 port is pretty ugly, making it difficult to properly use all four USB ports. This corrupted the USB3 ports on one of my Pi when trying to use them. I'm not sure if I should be mad at myself, Argon, or where I bought the PI when they made it. If they corrected the USB adapter shape, provided more IR information and allowed a better fan, it would result in a great Retropie/Kodi setup.

Pros
  • Happy so far
Cons
  • Expensive insurance
