They are great for connecting to your hotspot to boost the signal. The base is magnetized so it will stick to any metal object we've used while camping and I've definitely noticed improved reception, it works great and it's easy to connect to the access point's antenna ports. I bought 2 sets and gave one to my relatives who are snowbirds who use their hotspot when they come to Florida for the summer. They also agree to the improved reception.
