So in the description it is stated that this can increase up to 2000x. I just want to clarify that 2000x on this is not like 2000x on a traditional compound microscope. The best I can guess is that unlike a traditional compound microscope that uses oil at 1000x magnification and touches the slide, the lens of this objective is about 2mm from the slide. This effectively means that the actual magnification is far from close to a 2000x compound sight. In comparison, this is probably closer to 100x on a conventional microscope alone.
