You may also need a 1 1/16 " socket and ratchet

Despite using teflon tape I sometimes find that the rod is very tight in its seat, if so this sleeve starts to deform in the holes and/or the cross shaft starts to close bend. Time to find a 1 1/16" socket wrench, extension and 3/4" ratchet handle. For the price, however, this socket wrench is good to have in your emergency tool box. Other similar sockets come with a cross shank. Please note that this is not the case. I would rather risk bending the supplied cross-shank than breaking the handle or bending one of my screwdrivers.
