I like that they are quiet! I can hear them a little when the fridge door in my rPod is open, but almost silent when it's closed. You can hear them on the outside vents behind the fridge, but not loudly. I disconnected the wiring from the thermostat and connected it to the switch in the trailer on the side wall next to the fridge. Since the thermostat doesn't work until it's 95 degrees outside, I wanted to help the fridge by running the fans manually. The factory fans were a bit more powerful but use less power and are quiet!
