Almost exactly what we need

The fans for our wine cooler aren't very good. About a year after we received it one failed, then another - I couldn't figure out why it wasn't cooling below 66 degrees even though it was set at 56. Then we noticed the fan, which (obviously) was difficult to reach. was completely frozen in a block of ice and had to be replaced. Unfortunately we couldn't find any fans with the right plug so we ordered a second one and my husband was able to fiddle with the plug to set it up for proper use. I'm…

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Not sure

The fan had the wrong connector for my Orico 3549susj3-bk 4-Bay external drive enclosure so I cut it off and replaced its connector from the original failed fan. This made installation difficult (soldering and heat shrink tubing); but the end result worked great. This fan was noticeably louder than other Orico eSATA-III 3/4 bay drive racks that still have the original fans, but not by much. In operation this wasn't a big problem as 2 of the 4 bays are used for offline backups and are not…

Powered by a small solar panel

I bought this garbage fan to ventilate the battery compartment which holds 4 deep cycle batteries for my fountain. The battery compartment is outside under the panels but gets hot in the summer. When charging batteries, hydrogen gas is released with a strong smell of sulfur. I positioned the fan to pull fresh air into the box with a vent at the other end to vent the gases. I connected it to a small solar panel designed to keep car batteries charged. When the sun rises, the fan turns on…

Replaced 92mm fan in dehumidifier

Bought to replace the original fan in a small dehumidifier. The original fan ran until it stopped, but was always unacceptably loud. This one is so quiet that when I first turned it on after replacing the fan, I thought it wouldn't work at all! The airflow may be a little less than the old one, hard to tell, but the dehumidifier is working again and the noise is wonderfully quiet now, a huge improvement!

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Can't remember

Works like a charm good for computer parts

Love this thing. We got a fridge from Coleman as a present. Like everyone else, the fan immediately started making horrible noises. Of course, there is no way to buy a replacement fan from Coleman. Dip sticks, ball bearing fans cost the same as the included plain bearing. Put this baby in and it works quietly. A $150 refrigerator doesn't need to be thrown away after a few months. Some people have complained about the noise. I do not know why. It's a kind of ceiling fan.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not the best

They are quiet and quite durable!

I like that they are quiet! I can hear them a little when the fridge door in my rPod is open, but almost silent when it's closed. You can hear them on the outside vents behind the fridge, but not loudly. I disconnected the wiring from the thermostat and connected it to the switch in the trailer on the side wall next to the fridge. Since the thermostat doesn't work until it's 95 degrees outside, I wanted to help the fridge by running the fans manually. The factory fans were a bit more powerful…

Pros
  • Practical thing
Cons
  • So far so good

Used as a replacement fan on a Norcold motorhome see

These fans were much cheaper than factory installed fans and they also have a bearing instead of a bushing. I was a bit concerned about the slightly higher DB noise rating for the stock type compared to the same size in the sleeved version. When installed, they are very quiet. As a longtime RV technician, I've heard fans a lot louder, and since they're double-bearing, they should run for many hours. They are used to increase airflow through the top cooling fins on the Norcolds 1200 series.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
