Blocks of gray photons

Bought these gray curtains twice. The material is dense microfiber, soft and pleasant to the touch. I'm picky about how things look and they get a solid A. They block most of the light. I use them with an umber wrap around the cornice which prevents gaps between the edges of the curtains and the wall. A tiny fraction of the sunlight penetrates through the material, but they make the room much darker compared to my old blinds. Keep in mind that some light will come in from above no matter what (unless you're maybe mounting them directly to the wall?) so a little light filtering through the material won't matter much in real life. arrived a little crumpled, but the creases eventually went away on their own. If you want to impress your friends and foes with super stylish curtains, this might not be it. On the other hand, your bedroom will be so dark that your friends and enemies can hardly see the curtains, and you will be sound asleep, so you don't care. Nicetown also sells double curtains at a higher price. Money. I've tried both versions and they're basically the same, except the two-ply version has an additional insert of black material on the back. When deciding which one to buy I would say it depends on the color and the amount of light you need. If you want a darker color and don't want 100% absolute blackness, I would go with this single layer version and save some money. If you want a lighter color or need blackness at the height of the Mariana Trench, I would go for double-layer curtains.

Pros
  • All is well!
Cons
  • No color required
