I liked this switch so much I bought two of them. I upgraded from an old 100Mb switch. Immediately, all my devices that support 1GB transfer speeds connect to the network at a faster speed. There is an indicator light for each port so you know what speed the switch has detected. So old 100MB devices work just fine. My old switches had fans. This device is silent. no noise The case feels cool, there is no sign of heating. TP-Link is a great product. The packaging was ideal. box in a box. And although USPS was a little rough with the box, it arrived intact. The inner box was not damaged. Delivery time was as promised. Great deal from start to finish.
