Review on Ultimate Gaming Experience with MSI Rapid IPS Optix MAG301RF: High Dynamic Range, HD, LED Monitor by James Hill

Revainrating 4 out of 5

So far, so good. good for me

This is the first impression of the tldr review as I had it not long ago. I bought directly from Revain and not from a third party. Got everything I needed including the power adapter. So if you're worried, buy certified Revain. The monitor convinces right away, runs fast and has an appealing color reproduction. No noticeable artifacts. Ips bleed was very good on my model, barely noticeable. Out of the box it can be crushingly black, which is weird for ips, likely fixable with some tweaking. It's worth noting that I used 165Hz 10-bit, which may affect things in the normal 8-bit RGB range. Don't do this as HDR support is an afterthought, but it's also dubious that this monitor can support 200Hz end-to-end. That is exactly the case with these ips screens. It's so much better than regular FHD, the extra field of view you get is fantastic. When the zoom is activated, you need to enter the OSD menu. It's a missed opportunity that you can't create a shortcut to configure the aspect ratio. This monitor has bad gamma settings, night vision is the closest thing to gamma setting but it just overshadows everything. AI Nightvision is weird too. Otherwise, the colors on this monitor are very, very good. It's fun to play with and these bugs don't affect gameplay, but if you're like me, it's going to eat you up. Unfortunately, there aren't many good options in the 30" UW category (34" is too big for me).
