Purchased 1 July 2021 Starts to leak 24 September 2021

The leak is not at the threads but at the junction of the plastic and the metal part of the sensor. I have a 1999 Silverdao K1500. This sensor is located on top of the transfer case. This is my daily driver truck. Only 1321 miles on the gauge before it started leaking
