Both coasters are crooked in the same way so they don't sit properly on a flat surface. However, I bought coasters to hold two pieces of art in one frame and if I CAREFULLY get everything right the weight of the art balances the stand and therefore I can't tell if the stand is crooked. However, it is better not to touch it, because if misjudged, it will become crooked again. I bought it mainly for the adjustable feature, which works well for my purposes, at least for now. I think they can fail with more weight/time.
