Review on Dorman C660025 Parking Brake Cable by Carlos Cardoso

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Normal but difficult to install

Wire length and connection was correct. I see in this picture that there is no rubber boot on the cable that attaches to the caliper. This is important to reduce moisture and get some lubrication as the cable does not have a plastic coating. My shipment came with this boot. Also, the flange that attaches to the caliper behind the brake requires a metal clip as it is not designed to hold a nylon locking pin like the OE part. Very painstaking work - I had to make a clip out of a very thin metal disk to attach it to the bracket.

Pros
  • Reliable replacement - designed and tested to match original brake cable fit, function and performance on specific vehicles
Cons
  • Can't remember
