DON'T BUY A SALAD STICK!

Good price. But you get what you paid for. The xylophone is the least trashy, but the hardware that supports it is pathetic. My hens have never used the perch no matter how high I put it (also the chain is very thin, as is the part that holds the little bells that hang down on either side. They bend slightly and come out of the wood). But the worst of all is the lettuce ball hanger! I've used it less than 10 times and it's rubbish! Yesterday I chopped up a head of lettuce on a stick to serve my 8 chickens and when I got home that evening there was a stick of lettuce on top. It swings by itself. The wing nut and washer that held the lettuce on a stick are gone! I screwed it at least 1 inch onto the stick, so heck it just won't unscrew. Even with excessive pecking, chickens are simply NOT. The only thing that could have happened was that the mutton would get soaked in salad juice and just slip off the tiny, tiny stick without hitting the threads that were supposed to be holding it. And once the wing nut falls off, there's nothing holding the washer. And I think one of my chickens (probably my rooster, Big Caramel) ate the wings and puck. Because I raked the chicken coop several times and got on all fours to comb through the dirt and chicken manure to find it. I did the same thing in my chicken coop. It is everywhere. The only explanation left is that one of my chickens ate it. Because my chickens are in a closed pen and coop so no other animal can take them. All because I used that cheap junk. I dug through the stable this morning and ran again and STILL can't find her. So if one of my chickens turns up dead in the coming weeks with equipment poisoning, a damaged crop, a perforated throat or torn innards, I'll blame this piece of junk. I wasn't as concerned about the wing nut as I was about the washer because the washer was a good size and because of its shape it could easily get stuck anywhere along the chicken's innards. I would even say: get this junk from the market before it kills the chicken!
