Bought this product for a variety of water activities in my subtropical Florida area including kayaking, jet skiing, snorkeling, water boarding and beach walking. So far I'm very happy with the purchase and how well they perform in these activities. A particularly good protection for the feet when walking on hot sandy and/or shell beaches! Also a great non-slip sock when walking on a wet pool deck. I wear a men's 10.5 in most shoes and bought a size L (men's 9.5-10.5 / women's 10.5-12) and they fit snug but not too tight which is what you want. to have when you use them as a water sock and to keep them from slipping off. Also works well as a snorkel fin liner to prevent blistering and chafing. They air dry fairly quickly. I turn them inside out to speed up the drying process. The neoprene material is stretchy and the soles of the socks have a non-slip, grippy finish that provides traction on slippery surfaces. Probably offer sun protection on the legs due to the material it's made of, but they don't advertise the product as having an SPF. As other reviewers have said this is a water sock and not a water shoe so this may not work for the latter as they are much thinner and may not be as durable. The only thing I wished for was a pull tab at the back for easy on and off. I did not deduct this in this review as the other great features of this product made up for the lack of this item.
