SECOND UPDATE: Reading photos in the living room after making a hamburger in the kitchen (389): and the same spot an hour or two later (23). It worked at a high level for a while, then switched to automatic. UPDATE: The documentation doesn't change, but apparently it's taking some time to put everything together because when I tried again this morning (24 hours later) everything was going fine. The in-app documentation is great, but if you don't use the app, you're stuck. Make sure you are near the 2.4 router when setting up (you can move the car after setting up), connect to the smart life app, turn on the smart life skill on Alexa and it works like clockwork. just not straight out of the box! ***** I'm sure it's ok, but I can't connect it to Alexa, Smart Life App or Tuya App mentioned here in the comment, they just can't be found. There are also a few functions that say how to work (but who needs to know how to press the power button?), but no indication of what they actually do. What does the timer do, turn it on after x hours? switch off after x hours? 8 hours on and off? the? why do i need UV, why do i need it? no instructions, and since I can't add it to any apps (or control it with Alexa), there's just no indication. haaaa!
