Review on EBC Brakes DP41134R Yellowstuff Street by Adam Jauregui

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The best pads so far. May require a change.

Cons: *In order to install these pads on my 2000 Subaru Legacy, I had to file the backing plate on the two inner pads until it was flush with the friction material. I think they were made for the GT models that had large rotors. * Braking was really bad for the first 300 miles. Like "$6 Rockauto Pillow" - crappy level. This happened only due to the fact that the pads were worn out and the "burst coating" is wearing out. * Even now that they're broken, they still squeak very quietly under light braking. and I have to say it's the best so far. I mean it's very noticeable how much tighter the pads hold the rotors. I like to work my abs while commuting to work. Will I buy again? Maybe these pads cost about $60 more than ebc red stuff pads and for a street car red stuff pads are good enough. I think if you actually track your car or drive "strong" like me, then yes, get the yellow thing. Edit: After the pads broke completely, I started really pushing them into corners and noticed how they heat up the brakes a lot. The cold bite is still up but after 6-8 decelerations from 80 to 40 mph they barely stop my car. Needs downgrading to 4 stars
