And an expensive component got my ceiling fan working again
There are three ceiling fans on my porch and the capacitor failed earlier and I replaced it. The second fan failed and I chose this capacitor to get it working again and it worked great. Disassembling a ceiling fan by standing on a stepladder and pulling out all the wiring components isn't difficult at all, but it's fairly easy to cut out the faulty capacitor and connect a new one.
