The system may work well, but I haven't been able to test it. The camera and battery wouldn't fit on my 2011 Chevy pickup license plate, the rear bumper is in the way. single-sided tape, making it inconvenient to move between vehicles, and what will you do if you need to change license plates? The battery blocks the underside of the license plate, which is illegal in some (most? all?) states. All in all it was completely unusable so I sent it back. ==========On further reflection it seems that this system deserves a rating higher than 2 stars. I was able to simulate the setup on my truck and it worked correctly. It just couldn't be installed permanently because the rear bumper was interfering with the battery. The manufacturer told me they are looking at some design changes to make it more versatile. It will be interesting to see how that turns out. I also found that you don't have to tape the camera to the license plate. This is an option, but the camera could just as easily be mounted either on the license plate or with brackets on the back of the car. Overall promotion from 2 stars to 4 stars. The 5th star follows when the mounting problem is solved.
