This is a good product, but prior cross-stitching skills (and patience) are required!
It was quite difficult to use these instructions to teach my 8 year old. I pretty much taught her what I already knew. It's also good that I had my mom's stuff because the needle that came with the kit couldn't be thread. It's hard to tell from the picture, but the eye of the needle was clogged (defective).
