The photos are the result of my first attempt at slicing a smaller watermelon. I tried everything to get the cutter to penetrate the shell. Starting even small cuts with a knife (which defeats the whole purpose of a cutter). As I applied more force, the tailor's welds broke and the plastic ring slammed into the post. Razor-sharp, broken blades pierced my stomach and sliced into my forearm. Buy at your own risk or consult a good lawyer.
