Review on Dark Iron Fitness Knee Brace For Weightlifting – Small, Padded, Stabilizing Compression Sleeves For Powerlifting And Weight Training – Black by Justin Sharp

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Functional, but not without issues

3.5 stars. They're pretty good. Sizing is my main issue. Based on the size chart I was supposed to be XXL (I don't have huge legs or anything like that). I initially ordered that size and later returned them for an XL.The XL fit around my quads well, but they're still somewhat loose at the knee joint. If I tighten the straps enough they serve their purpose, but I can't help but think the knee opening is just slightly too big and lacks compression at the joint.I ordered a size L to try, but they were so tight at my quad that they slipped down immediately. I later returned those as well.Material is comfortable, straps are a nice addition and seem to stay in place. The patellar cup is comfortable. They're a more supportive version of the Chinese style non-neoprene sleeves used by Oly lifters, but obviously not as supportive as powerlifting neoprene sleeves.

Pros
  • Enhances overall workout experience
Cons
  • May not provide enough compression for swelling reduction
