Review on Chemical Guys BUF_HEX_Kits_8P Hex Logic Buffing by Devon Holmes

Good product! Best in Tools and Equipment

As a newbie, I didn't know what to expect from this product. After using it I couldn't be happier. I have used them with Chemical Guys V Series polishes and Porter Cable 7424XP as that is the most common configuration. I was polishing three year old paint on a full size ram. I spot polished (fixed some scratches with a yellow pad and Chemical Guys V32 polish, and then completely polished orange (with V34) and white (with V36)). With every step, the truck seemed to shine more and more. Now he looks fantastic; the paint wasn't even that good, when i left the dealer i didn't get too aggressive and tried to remove all the factory orange peel (so far) but was very happy with the results just i don't have the blue, black or red ones Pads used However as the finishing materials were applied differently I may soon do a full polish with blue and V38 to see the difference. DA polishers and these pads. The control process is VERY secure. If you're concerned about paint burning, I haven't seen absolutely no signs of paint damage regardless of the speed of the pad/compound/buffer I used. I'm not sure what you need to do to ruin this process, but it will be difficult to do so. Those who burned these pads think the technique was wrong. I will say that you may need to be a little careful when polishing the edges of the badges and trim, but after polishing a full size truck the pads still look fantastic. I had to stop and clean and dry the pads about every 1/4-1/3 of the truck. So if you're into cars, you'll probably need to do the same thing at least once, or have a second pad. .I am attaching photos of the pads I used after polishing the entire car.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • I have doubts
