I usually crochet in 100% acrylic or blends but my husband LOVES cotton so I bought a few skeins around to make him a blanket. I prefer acrylic crochet because I love how acrylic rebounds after being pulled for crochet stitches. Other cotton yarns I've used for larger projects (Handicrafter, Sugar, and Cream) stretched a little while crocheting and then stretched like crazy during use - a throw I made for my husband a few years ago was made into a giant napkin and is now unusable. So I thought I'd give this yarn a try and so far it's great. It is not as stretchy and soft as a good acrylic yarn, but holds up well both in crochet and in actual use as a finished product. The acrylic blend makes it more durable without changing the texture of the yarn. Knitting from it is also a pleasure, because it does not tear, and the seams look beautiful. It's also one of the bulkiest cotton blend yarns on the market - not bulky per se, but not flimsy either. This is a good weight for scarves, throws, and outerwear. I will definitely buy it again for future projects.
