Review on 💨 Hella Universal 12V Brake Boost Vacuum Pump for Volvo (Part Number 009428081) by Micheal Wolf

This pump did a great job fixing the "ER bb" code we were getting on the odometer on our 2010 Subaru Tribeca. Mind you, this is NOT EXACTLY the same pump you can get at a Subaru parts store, but the only difference I can see is that the wiring harness is shorter than the Subaru part. However, this is not a problem as the connector is the same and the car's factory wiring harness is a bit loose. Aside from the shorter cables and Subaru part numbers, this appears to be an exact match. The original pump even says UP-28 and is also from Hella. The fact that the original pump has now failed has more to do with the fact that the pump is listed too low (only 600 hours) for the brake booster. Driving a vehicle in heavy traffic. I can't blame the Hella pump for this error as much as I can blame Subaru for listing the wrong part. However, this is the only mechanical issue we have encountered on our Subaru Tribeca in almost 70,000 miles, so so far I am happy with both the Subaru Tribeca and the Hella UP-28 pump.
