Review on Keychron K6 68-Key Wireless Bluetooth/USB Wired Gaming Mechanical Keyboard with RGB LED Backlit, Compact 65% Layout, N-Key Rollover, Aluminum Frame for Mac Windows, Gateron Brown Switch by Michael Powell

2 Months Update: I've been using the keyboard every day for a while. I still needed to test it further beyond my initial review and had fun altering it beyond its stock condition (see updated blue caps photo for current condition). There is nothing to change from my original review as it is still current. I like the consistent performance and still look forward to tapping into it. It's worth noting that I only once had a Bluetooth toggle issue where the keyboard wouldn't reconnect to my Macbook Pro and I had to restart Bluetooth on the Mac to fix the problem. Disabling and re-enabling Bluetooth on the Mac fixed the issue and the keyboard connected successfully right after (not sure if it was a keyboard or Bluetooth Macbook Pro misbehavior when it happened). I still recommend this keyboard and keep the 5 stars I gave it. I will list below the mods I have made in case there is interest in doing something similar. I swapped out the standard ABS keycaps for better quality PBT keycaps - I got fed up with a few brands and settled on Matrix keycaps. This greatly improved the quality of the keys and also improved the typing quality in terms of feel and sound. (Please be brief (the 1.75U right shift key was a bit of a hassle to find the right keycaps for it) 2. I lubricated both the Gateron Brown switch and the stabilizers - the keyboard experience turned into a whole new one level, which showed the excellent foundation that this keyboard represents. I really think KeyChron should consider selling keyboards with switches already lubricated. Hope the above answers your questions and concerns. Good luck with your purchase! Hooray!--------------------First review: Item arrived even ahead of schedule Very well packaged and sealed when it left the factory High quality product that looks even better than the detailed photos on the website and working properly The first 5 minutes I received it connected three of my computers (windows desktop, windows laptop and macbook pro) on my desk via bluetooth with no problems I love e s to be able to customize pretty much anything from the keyboard itself without having to download any software. Even then, the keyboard configuration was very simple and straightforward. In terms of price compared to other mechanical keyboards, this one is very good and works with the best, especially in this price range. It's a pleasure to tap into and Gateron Brown's switches feel and sound perfect, but honestly it all comes down to personal preference. Not as loud and clicky as MX switches, but very smooth and just the right click sound for me. If you are unfamiliar with them, I recommend watching one of the YouTube videos that specifically show the noise and feel comparison between them and other switches on the market. The only thing I'd like is brighter LEDs and initially this won't be an issue if you plan to keep using the included keycaps, but if you plan to upgrade to PBT keycaps this may be an issue. The quality of the PBT keycaps you buy may or may not affect the visibility of the LED lighting. I definitely recommend this product. Thanks for a premium product.
