Review on Tailgate Actuator 81230 2V000 Veloster Assembly by Terry Paige

Last week my 2015 Veloster sunroof release stopped working. I was about to go to the dealer to have them look at it and found out that this is a common issue with Velosters. I looked for the part and found this. When I received it I compared it to the part I removed from the sunroof and it was an identical part, even with the Hyundai 'H' logo and KIA logo on the plastic. Easy removal (plastic shroud, 3x10mm screws and detached connector) and installation. I was able to do this in about 5 minutes. but only because I've already removed the plastic trim that goes on the hatch, as well as the faulty part. The dealer would charge me for both the diagnosis and the part itself, so I was glad I did the work myself.
