In February 2016 I bought my third Garmin. The most recent was the 310XT, as was the second. The first was 305. Each band broke in the same place - where the pin attaches to the watch case. One of the corners where the pin is attached breaks, making it impossible to attach a new strap. The last breakdown occurred just 4 months after buying the watch. I'm a thin woman and I use my Garmin watch sparingly so it's not worn too tight or overused. After checking online I found that many people were having the same problem. You might think I've already figured out that this stylish watch strap (both the 310XT and the 305) has a design flaw not just for me but for many other people and has been around for many years. It looks like Garmin should treat the Forerunner with this type of strap as a one-off product that should only be used for a short time. That's the last straw. I'm done with Garmin! Be aware of this strap issue before you buy this watch!
