Screw the bottom bracket tight enough so that the handles do not wobble when turning. Then screw on the cold shoe brackets on the left and right so that they are at the desired angle. Finally, tighten the screws on the bottom to complete the assembly. This gear is pretty good. I ordered an adapter plate for the Panasonic Lumix G7 as mounting it on this platform with the lens centered resulted in a slight offset. It is made in China to mass market and non-professional tolerances. Some strings will be tight and others will be loose. Spend an extra five minutes building and looking for weak points. Then use your very inexpensive rig to create amazing photos and videos. It is very good!
