Review on πŸš€ K&N Engine Air Filter: Premium, High Performance, Washable Replacement Filter for Saab/Vauxhall (2002-2011): 9-3, 9-3 Series II, Signum (33-2337) by Kirt Phillips

It doesn't make your car a high-performance, high-liter consumption beast, but it's still a good filter

I did a lot of research on whether to use a K&N filter or an OEM stick, but in the end I chose K&N mainly because it's washable. I have a 2003 SAAB 9-3 2.0t and since it's turbocharged I figured less air restriction would also improve throttle response; I think so, but then it could just be a placebo. I have no way of measuring it. One thing I definitely noticed and I'm pretty sure it's not placebo is the sound of the turbo spinning, this thing is really howling now and I love the sound! It feels like I'm driving a high-end tuner. In terms of performance and MPG, that might have helped a bit, but not enough to justify the high cost of this filter on that assumption alone...unless you're into total tuning. a transmission that tries to get the most out of your engine. I've heard a lot of people hate K&N and others swear by it. I don't really endorse one side over the other, but I don't regret my purchase and will likely recommend K&N to people depending on what they are looking for.
