Review on Culligan HF360A - Optimized Standard House Filtration System by Guillo Tilden

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Is working. Watch out for leaks - you can fix the leak

This filter seems to work well. It's still fairly new. Installation was pretty easy. But when I turned the water on it had a slow leak around the handle at the top (not between the clear body and the blue top). Since it was hardwired into my system, I didn't want to remove it. I turned the water off and did a little research and there are 4 screws under the handle. I removed them and there is an o-ring in the handle. I lubricated the o-ring with silicone spotting grease, reassembled it and the leak was FIXED. So be aware. If you notice a leak under the handle, you can fix it. Just remember to turn off the water first! I downgraded the product to 3 stars because I needed to fix it. Everything seems to be working fine now. ********************************* UPDATE - May 3, 2013 This filter housing is still tight. The filter was changed 4-6 times. There were no leakage problems. The original fix seems to be holding up well. Maybe the problem was a twisted o-ring and when I took it off and lubricated it stopped leaking because it wasn't rolled? Anyway, just wanted to update the review so you know it works. If it keeps up this good performance maybe I'll upgrade it to 4 stars. By the way, I use these Filter Culligan P5-D Level 4 5 Micron Sedim Filtration 2 pack replacement cartridges
