This thing literally broke after I opened it. I attached my camera to it and it buckled under the weight (the DSLR it was supposed to hold). So I tightened it to match the design with the included Allen key and the turnbuckles clicked instantly on both sides. Upon inspection, I'm pretty sure the part in question is NOT plastic, but if it's aluminum, it's the weakest aluminum I've ever come across. Also, "simple" must have a secret second meaning. It's not lead brick or anything, but oh my god. It's thicker than a deck of cards and the size of my (huge) palm, and it's all metal. How "simple" can it be? It is not. He's not easy at all. That's a bad thing and I highly recommend skipping it - do it with better material and this one is rubbish.
