Well, live and learn.

Well, live and learn. First, they come without instructions. Second, there are several instructional videos on YouTube. Third, take a moment to see how your Jeep was painted after the bolts were installed. Also, rest assured that super industrial Loctite was also used. If you don't already have the required torx bit to remove the screws, please for god's sake buy a heavy one or risk bending them like I did with mine. Also note that these mounts are designed to withstand heavy use. For example, you walk down a dark alley with the mount in hand, feeling confident that you can protect yourself from a heavy load. Now that you have the brackets installed, notice how the doors meet the brackets. when they are fully open. Oops, did you forget to remove the doors before installing those brackets? You're interested in a little dent, no, I didn't think so, and neither did I. If you're worried about your color, don't forget to get some of those fancy straps to keep the doors from opening too wide. But who are we fooling, you drive a TJ, you wear dents as a badge of honor. what you need to know Your passenger side mirror becomes almost useless. If you have a mirror in this mount with the door open, you won't even be able to see it. It works much better on the driver's side. So if like me you took your doors off at the beginning of summer and don't want to put them back on until fall these are good cheap brackets. . If you're the kind of person who likes to open and close doors like you're changing your underwear, get a different set of mirrors that fit in the door hinge brackets. I'll probably remove these brackets when I reinstall the doors for the winter. When I bought them I thought they could stay all year, just move the mirrors in the doors, but I would miss being able to open the door more than 90 degrees.
