I needed a curved screen but there are no other options on the market. It's a shame because curved screens are useful for field of view and maximizing desk space. I needed a 32" curved screen anyway, otherwise I would have had to switch to a 27" flat screen. This is for my second monitor. Where would I keep the Discord box, web browser, etc. open? As I work, I use the second screen to view thumbnails, and my main screen (also 4K) is split in half between the composition window and usually a Kindle or web browser. For my purposes, this monitor is perfect. I can't comment on the gaming performance at all and I'm not really concerned about color accuracy nor am I an expert on such things, but I'm very happy with the image quality. The second important requirement for a monitor was that it effectively switched inputs. I was replacing a 32" Samsung flat panel monitor that was having trouble detecting new inputs even when only one input was active. This screen accurately and quickly captures the active input, whether it's a display port or HDMI, quickly and stably. This isn't a graphics card feature as many troubleshooting tips would suggest, as the only factor that changed was the monitor itself. Finally, the monitor controls are below the screen and not on the side or back. This is extremely important when using a second monitor as a lot of these things have controls on the back of the monitor! This makes them unavailable for parallel screens! There's no such problem when the controls are below the screen and not on the side or back. So this was another big update from Samsung. My only gripe so far is that almost every other monitor I've looked at only comes with a Displayport and usually two HDMI ports. These are computer screens. DisplayPort is a standard for computer displays. My graphics cards have three display ports and only one native HDMI connector. That's because of their computers, not TVs. So I'd like to see multiple display ports and just one HDMI for legacy compatibility. Instead, 90% of the monitors on the market have the opposite meaning. Second, the port protrudes at a 90Β° angle on the back of the monitor. Therefore, more space is needed to accommodate the HDMI display port and power cables. They should be flush with the monitor plugged down into the outlet. I'm not sure what the decision-making process was for this design, but I usually don't like monitors with cables that stick out at 90Β° angles. Although they are always easier to connect when space is not a concern.
