Review on Philips 272E1CA Frameless Adaptive Sync Replacement Monitor: ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Full HD, Tilt Adjustment, Built-In Speakers, Curved LED Display by Kent Stephenson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Died 14 months later, no response from Philips.

It was a good monitor but died after 14 months. The display is now black, so it's either a bad logic board or the backlight. I have contacted Philips via email using the contact information provided here by Revain but after 2 weeks I still have not received a response from them. So don't trust the seemingly useless "4-year advance replacement guarantee". I will try to contact them by phone and update this review if they suggest a way to replace or fix this monitor. Update 1: After waiting 2 weeks with no response, I resent the email (I didn't find a way to contact them by phone). I got a reply 3 days later (on Thanksgiving) with a ticket and a request for more information: monitor front/back picture, problem picture, serial number picture, receipt picture etc. Now I've sent everything together and I'm waiting for a reply . I guess now we'll see if they respond with the message "warranty denied due to physical damage" which I've seen numerous times here and elsewhere on the internet. If so then we will all know the warranty is a scam as my monitor has only been used on my desk and is flawless as the pictures show. Update 2: Two days after submitting the requested information, I received a response that they would issue an RMA. They FedEx me a replacement monitor (should be here within a week) and I received an email with a FedEx return label to send my defective monitor back when the replacement arrived. So it looks like they live up to the warranty, at least in my case. I've increased the rating to 2 stars and will change it again when the replacement arrives assuming everything is ok. Update 3: The new monitor will arrive a little earlier than planned. It appears to be in excellent condition. I have adjusted the rating to 3 stars. It's actually a 4 star monitor (Dell S3221QS is much better) but I'm deducting a star for poor reliability. Even though my warranty had expired it was still an issue.
